The 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 League final at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium delivered an thrilling game as the Deccan Gladiators secured their third championship title with a commanding 8-wicket victory over Morrisville Samp Army.
Chasing 105 in 10 overs, the Gladiators completed the task with more than three overs to spare, showcasing their firepower.
Batting first Samp Army struggled to build momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. Despite contributions from Faf du Plessis (34 off 23) and Andries Gous (21 off 9), they were restricted to 104/7 in 10 overs. A quick fire by Afghanistan’s Karim Janat (16 off 8) added crucial runs, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the Gladiators.
England pacer Richard Gleeson led the Gladiators’ bowling attack with figures of 2/16, keeping the Samp Army in check.

The mid-innings featured a memorable speech from Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. Fans were also treated to a lively performance by actress Elnaaz Norouzi, enhancing the excitement of the title clash.
Chasing the target, England’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore set the tone early, smashing four consecutive boundaries off Samp Army skipper Rohan Mustafa in the opening over. His partner, and team’s captain Nicholas Pooran, soon joined the onslaught, dismantling Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim for 20 runs in the third over. The Gladiators quickly raced past the 50-run mark, putting them in control.
Later, Pooran, who scored 28 off just 10 deliveries, fell to a brilliant deep catch by Mustafa off Isuru Udana, but the damage had already been done. Kohler-Cadmore continued his aggressive approach, registering a quick half-century to guide the Gladiators home.
With this victory, the Deccan Gladiators reaffirmed their dominance in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, adding a third championship title to their illustrious cabinet.
