Lanka T10 Super League 2024: Inaugural Season to Kick Off in Kandy on December 11

The much-anticipated inaugural edition of the Lanka T10 Super League 2024 is set to commence on December 11 in Kandy, featuring six competitive franchises battling for glory. The tournament opener will see the Jaffna Titans face the Hambantota Bangla Tigers, preceded by a vibrant opening ceremony.

The league comprises six teams: Jaffna Titans, Hambantota Bangla Tigers, Colombo Jaguars, Nuwara Eliya Kings, Kandy Bolts, and Galle Marvels. The round-robin phase runs until December 17, with the playoffs set for December 18. Qualifier 1 will feature the top two teams, while the Eliminator will pit the third and fourth-ranked teams against each other. Qualifier 2 will determine the second finalist, and the title clash will conclude the tournament on December 19, followed by the closing ceremony.

The player draft, held on November 10 in Colombo, saw teams securing top talents. Colombo Jaguars signed Tymal Mills and Aamer Jamal, while Galle Marvels added Jeffrey Vandersay to their bowling arsenal. Jaffna Titans acquired Mohammad Amir and David Wiese, and Kandy Bolts roped in Shahnawaz Dahani. Hambantota Bangla Tigers strengthened their squad with stars like Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Perera, and Hazratullah Zazai.
