Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have announced the appointment of Omkar Salvi as the new bowling coach for their men’s team ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Salvi, renowned for his coaching success on the domestic circuit, led Mumbai to their first Ranji Trophy title in eight years and an Irani Cup triumph in the same season.
The 46-year-old also had a brief yet impactful stint with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during their IPL-winning campaign in 2024. This remains his only prior IPL coaching experience as he now gears up to join RCB at the conclusion of the ongoing domestic season.
