The IPL 2022 champions, Gujarat Titans (GT), have showcased their intent of winning their 2nd IPL Title at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction by securing several high-profile players to strengthen their squad. Retaining star players Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Rashid Khan, GT entered the auction with a clear plan to bolster both their batting and bowling.

The franchise made headlines by acquiring Jos Buttler for ₹15.75 crore after Rajasthan Royals released him, reinforcing their batting lineup. To complement their core, GT roped in wicketkeeper-batters Anuj Rawat and Kumar Kushagra, adding depth to their middle order.

All-rounder Washington Sundar joined the squad alongside Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan to bolster GT’s versatility. Promising uncapped talent Nishant Sindhu, fresh off a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and experienced campaigner Mahipal Lomror were also added to the mix.

GT’s pace attack received a significant boost with marquee signings Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, and South African speedster Gerald Coetzee. Rising domestic talent Manav Suthar, a left-arm off-spinner, further strengthened their bowling unit. Prasidh Krishna, who enjoyed a stellar IPL 2024, returns to the fold after overcoming injuries that sidelined him in 2023.

Gujarat Titans further secured Glenn Phillips for ₹2 crore in the accelerated round, in a steal deal marking one of the auction’s biggest bargains. With a balanced squad brimming with experience and emerging talent, Gujarat Titans are poised for another strong IPL campaign in 2025.
