Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur Becomes Only Indian to feature in WBBL Team Of The Decade 50-Player Draft

Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has become the only Indian women’s cricket team player to feature in the 50-Player Draft of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) WBBL Team Of The Decade.

Released on Thursday, November 7, the list comprises cricketers who have played at least 60 WBBL matches prior to the ongoing season. The draft will be further shortlisted to 12 by an expert selection panel with consideration of public voting which will be conducted from November 11-24 on the Big Bash App.

The selection panel will be led by Cricket Australia Director Clea Smith, along with Mel Jones, Lisa Sthalekar, Matthew Mott, Quentin Hull, Laura Jolly and Alistair Dobson. The panel will honor the greatest players and performers across the decade long history of the WBBL. Keeping with the league’s rules, the Playing XI will include 3 overseas players.

Notably, the public porting will be given equal importance as the report of the panel which will then review and compile a list of 12 players which will be announced on December 1, the day of WBBL 10 final.
