The fan, showing enthusiasm for the Indian Premier League (IPL), shouted out to Indian captain Rohit Sharma, asking him to join Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2025. The request, “Rohit, please join RCB in IPL 2025,” caused some laughter among the crowd.
The fan’s plea highlights the intense passion IPL supporters have, especially for RCB, a team that has a huge and dedicated fanbase. Rohit Sharma, however, currently captains the Mumbai Indians, a franchise he has been with since 2013, leading them to five IPL titles, making him one of the most successful captains in the league’s history.

A viral video of the moment also gained attention on social media. In the video, a fan is heard asking Rohit, “Bhai, IPL mein kaun sa team?” (Which team in the IPL, brother?). Rohit, playing along, responded, “Kaunsa chahiye bol?” (Which one do you want?). To which the fan excitedly replied, “Bhai, RCB aajao yaar!” (Brother, come to RCB!). Rohit did not respond further and walked into the pavilion.
Despite the fan’s request, reports indicate that Rohit Sharma will continue with the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025. Rohit has become an integral part of Mumbai Indians’ success, and his leadership has been pivotal in their five championship wins. Speculation about Rohit’s future with the team has arisen, especially with the upcoming mega auction and changes in team dynamics. However, according to sources like the Indian Express, Mumbai Indians are expected to retain Rohit Sharma, along with Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Suryakumar Yadav, for the next season. This decision would ensure the core of the team remains strong, providing stability as they prepare for IPL 2025.
As fans eagerly await the next season, Rohit’s legacy with the Mumbai Indians continues to grow. His calm demeanor, leadership skills, and consistent performances have made him one of the most respected figures in the IPL. While fans of RCB may dream of seeing him in red and black, it seems likely that Rohit will remain the face of Mumbai Indians for the foreseeable future.
